The ten planks of the Communist Manifesto

Lest we all remain ignorant, and let our country slip quietly into Communism, know well what must be achieved in order to establish a Communist society:
1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state.
8. Equal obligation of all to work. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
From the Communist Manifesto, Karl Marx, 1848.
Compare these ideas to a recent quote by Michelle Obama. “The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.”
Be careful who you vote for.
